Semantic Segmentation
A task that assigns a class label to every pixel in an image for pixel-level scene understanding.
Semantic segmentation pushes scene understanding to one of the most detailed levels in computer vision. Because object or surface classes are separated at the pixel level, structures such as roads, buildings, people, tumors, or product regions can be identified precisely. It is critical in autonomous driving, medical imaging, remote sensing, and manufacturing lines. Pixel-level accuracy often determines the true reliability of the application.
