Action Anticipation

A task that attempts to predict a future action from a partially observed video stream before it fully unfolds.

Action anticipation is an important step in moving from reactive analysis to proactive visual intelligence. The model must not only understand what is happening but also predict what will happen next. This capability is especially valuable for autonomous systems, workplace safety, driver assistance, and human-robot interaction. Producing reliable predictions from partial evidence is the central challenge of the task.
