Promptable Segmentation

A flexible visual separation approach that performs segmentation guided by prompts such as points, boxes, or text.

Promptable segmentation makes segmentation more flexible than fixed label-based setups. A user or system can indicate the target region through a point, box, or textual instruction. This is highly powerful for interactive annotation, visual editing, robotics, and general-purpose visual tools. It represents an important shift from segmentation as a specialist model to segmentation as a platform capability.
