Occlusion Handling
A set of strategies aimed at maintaining detection and tracking when the object becomes partially or fully invisible.
Occlusion handling is one of the core challenges in detection, tracking, and video analytics. In crowded scenes, objects can pass behind one another, disappear briefly, or leave the line of sight. Successful systems rely on motion prediction, appearance memory, and multi-frame context to remain stable. It is one of the most critical robustness criteria in real-world surveillance and traffic systems.
