Facial Landmark Detection

A fine-grained vision task that identifies key points of face anatomy such as eyes, nose, mouth, and jaw.

Facial landmark detection is used to represent the geometric structure of the face. It plays a foundational role in face alignment, expression analysis, gaze estimation, and augmented reality applications. Because small errors can strongly affect downstream tasks, it requires high precision. It enables face analysis systems to understand not only where the face is, but also how it is structured.
