Color Constancy
An image-processing approach that aims to perceive object colors more consistently under varying illumination conditions.
Color constancy tries to preserve the perceived color of an object even when the camera or lighting changes. This is especially important in product inspection, retail cataloging, agricultural imaging, and medical applications. Without stable color handling, classification and matching systems may mistake lighting variation for genuine class differences.
