Boundary-Aware Segmentation

A segmentation approach that aims to improve mask quality by modeling object boundaries more precisely.

Boundary-aware segmentation becomes critical in tasks where fine structures matter, such as organs, wires, road markings, or product edges. Standard segmentation models may learn inner regions well but fail at boundaries. To address this, edge information is injected through dedicated loss functions or auxiliary branches.
