Speaker Identification
A task that determines which enrolled speaker in a known set produced a given voice sample.
Speaker identification aims to match a given voice sample to the correct person from a known enrolled speaker set. It is used in security, call-center verification, media archiving, and forensic audio analysis. The task focuses on the speaker’s vocal biometrics rather than the linguistic content. Channel differences, microphone quality, and even health-related vocal changes can affect performance.
