Always-On Audio Detection

A system approach that enables low-power sound event detection while a device remains in continuous listening mode.

Always-on audio detection manages the delicate balance between user experience and energy efficiency. While continuously monitoring the environment, the system must also respect battery, compute, and privacy constraints. Wake word detection is the most common example, but some systems extend the same setup to detect sirens, baby cries, or security-related sounds.
