Score Normalization
A process that makes similarity scores in speaker verification systems more stable and comparable.
Score normalization helps make similarity scores interpretable and stable across different recording conditions. Since the same threshold may not always carry the same meaning, normalization strategies are important for system stability. This is especially useful in production biometric systems when improving the balance between false acceptance and false rejection.
