Metadata Quality Score
A quality score used to measure the completeness, freshness, clarity, and governance maturity of metadata.
A metadata quality score is used to assess the quality of information stored in a catalog or registry. Criteria may include whether field descriptions exist, ownership is assigned, lineage is linked, and recency is acceptable. This approach treats metadata not as static documentation, but as a quality asset that must be managed. Metadata quality that is not measured tends to degrade over time.
