Lineage Reconciliation
The process of reconciling trace information coming from different lineage sources into a consistent view.
Lineage reconciliation aligns trace information coming from catalogs, SQL parsers, orchestration logs, and manual definitions into a consistent picture. If different systems show different relationships for the same data asset, trust can erode quickly. For that reason, reconciliation is important for improving lineage reliability. In large data platforms, a single source of truth increasingly requires a single trace of truth as well.
