Late Data Reconciliation
A correction process that brings late-arriving data into alignment with previously produced batch outputs.
Late data reconciliation is a critical corrective practice for preserving historical correctness in batch systems. If delayed records affect past summaries, KPIs, or reports, those outputs must be updated in a controlled way. Without this process, the data platform may remain silently wrong in retrospect. Reconciliation is the discipline of managing delayed correctness in data engineering.
