Event Tracking
A tracking approach that records user or system behaviors as discrete events.
Event tracking is an approach for recording user interactions or system behaviors as discrete events in digital products. Actions such as button clicks, form submissions, purchases, errors, or session endings can all be modeled as events. Effective event tracking is not just about producing logs; it is about designing meaningful and consistent measurement schemas that support business decisions. Poorly named or incompletely defined events often lead to major interpretation errors later in the analytics layer.
