Accuracy
A quality dimension expressing how correctly a data field reflects the real-world value it represents.
Data accuracy indicates how closely a recorded value matches its real-world counterpart. A mistyped phone number, an incorrect delivery date, or a faulty sensor reading are all examples of accuracy problems. Data that looks complete but is actually wrong is often more dangerous than missing data, because systems use it with confidence. For that reason, accuracy must be managed not only through technical validation rules, but also through external verification and process audits.
