Data Observability
A monitoring approach that aims to detect data issues, anomalies, and silent quality degradation early.
Data observability means more than logging what happens in data systems; it means monitoring them through meaningful signals. Sudden drops in volume, unexpected increases in null rates, schema changes, or distribution shifts are typical observability targets. This approach allows modern data platforms to manage data quality proactively rather than reactively. It becomes especially critical when many pipelines and downstream consumers depend on the same ecosystem. Catching silent data failures early makes a major difference for model and reporting reliability.
