Cross-Corpus Emotion Recognition

A problem focused on generalizing an emotion model learned on one dataset to new datasets recorded under different conditions.

Cross-corpus emotion recognition directly reflects the real-world generalization problem of speech emotion analysis systems. Emotional cues learned from one dataset may not transfer well across languages, cultures, or recording conditions. Domain robustness and stable representation are therefore central in this area. It is one of the problems that makes the gap between lab success and field success visible.
