Channel Compensation
A speaker recognition approach aimed at reducing voice variation caused by microphone, transmission, or recording-environment differences.
Channel compensation addresses one of the hardest problems in real-world voice biometrics. The same speaker can sound very different across devices, which can mislead identity systems. For this reason, representation learning, normalization, and domain adaptation techniques are used to reduce channel differences. It is indispensable for robust speaker recognition systems.
