Natural Language Inference
A task that determines whether one statement entails, contradicts, or is neutral with respect to another.
Natural language inference is one of the fundamental evaluation areas for semantic reasoning. Determining whether one sentence logically supports another is highly important for QA verification, classification, and prompt-based task adaptation. Modern zero-shot classification is often built on top of NLI reasoning patterns.
