Local Outlier Factor
A method that measures outlierness by comparing a point's local density to that of its neighbors.
Local Outlier Factor focuses on evaluating how unusual an observation is relative to the local neighborhood structure around it. This can make it more sensitive than global outlier methods in datasets with varying density regions. It is especially useful in complex data spaces with nonuniform density. However, the choice of neighborhood size and feature scaling can strongly influence the results.
