Elliptic Envelope
A statistical anomaly method that detects outliers by assuming the data follows an approximately elliptical distribution.
Elliptic Envelope can be used to detect outliers in data that is approximately multivariate normal. It estimates the center and covariance structure of the data and flags unusual observations. While statistically meaningful, it depends heavily on the assumed distributional form. For that reason, the structure of the data should be examined carefully before applying it.
